Weekend in LA

Just got back from a long drive home from L.A. It was kinda fun to go on a lil' weekend road trip. We took a little gander of New York Film Academy, played on the beach, and hung out with Adam and Ashley. Man! That's a freaking long drive though, our bums are sore from sitting that long.

Forever!

The car is a 1916 Chandler.

I'm very proud of Mr. Neil and his crazy dedication to his dreams. He is so devoted and since I've known him I just see his focus and enthusiasm grow exponentially. He always has an idea formulating or a project in the works.
The past couple months he's put so much time, sweat, blood, agony and pleasure into a music video for a band called HEART PHARMACY. Pictures and comments have been floating around facebook so I'm not going to post them. Hopefully it will only be in Post Production for another month or so and then can see the finished project!
I'm excited to see where his dreams take him and I want to be supportive and helpful the whole way!
Also, I'm very excited to meet my new nephew who was born on Saturday! Congrats Nate and Erika! It's their 3rd kid! I can't believe it! Now their family is getting pretty big: Jenna, Carter and now LOGAN. YAY!

Yeah, I was getting fat

So, weight gain is something that I never had a problem with before. I could eat loads of junk and I always remained the scrawny lurp. After the whole marriage thing happened I noticed that I started getting a little flab around my belly. "Hm, that's weird." I would often think to myself.

After the holidays I decided if I didn't nip it in the bud it would just get harder to lose the weight I was gaining, and I really don't ever want to be out of shape. I love doing outside things too much. My diet began.

I started off with a cleanse.......where I didn't eat a single thing for 7 days. I just drank orange juice and water. That was an interesting experiment and I more or less wanted to test my self control. I just wanted to see if I could do it. I lost a bunch of weight. People told me that I would put all the weight back on, so I decided to prove them wrong.

What I've been doing since is simple. I follow the "Eat less, move more" rule. I watch what I eat and I go to the gym a lot. Since new years I've completely cut soda from my diet. I've been doing a lot of swimming and running. I am now training for a triathlon.

I'm no weight loss expert, and most people are in much better condition than I am, but I was excited to see the Before/After results. It seems if you really put your mind to it you can do it.

Next up: Getting those flabby pecs a little larger. Wish me luck, I'm off to the gym.
