Oh the crazy swedes

So, we have 6 swedes living with us in our little apartment.  Not for one week, or two, or three weeks.  FIVE weeks we get to enjoy their company.  It's actually already been three crazy weeks full of craziness.  Don't get me wrong, we've enjoyed having them around.  We're just not used to such a busy household.  They were here for christmas.  That was fun.  Here are some pics.

Here's feli opening a present while sitting on the arm of a couch.  She's wearing grey sweatpants and a red shirt.  That present was a red hoodie from the swedes.  it was cute.
this is the youngest swede residing at our home.  His name is Filip and we call him mr. aggressive.  he is three and can do pull-ups by himself.  bet you couldn't do pull-ups at 3 yrs.
christmas morning with some naked swedish children.  you might notice the swedish ski magazine on the coffee table.  it's a good one with an article about a swedish rapper who is an avid skier.  his name is petter.  yes, with two t's.
notice the air mattress sitting up by the wall.  that's for oscar.  he gets to sleep in the living room at night.  he says it gets cold.  he started wearing a beanie to bed.
we took a small trip up to jackson hole to ski.  the new tram is great, but it was -10 degrees at the top.  my mustache froze.

Cabo is Good

Here we are at lovers beach.  It was pretty rad.  This particular beach is about the size of the average dining room, yeah.... that small.  That's a tunnel going from the sea of Cortez to the pacific.  The ocean would come crashing through from both sides and meet in the middle.  It was nuts.  I (neil) tried to go through it but I got smashed with waves over my head and was scared I'd drown, so I came back out.  The ocean was rising so we booked it out of there.
Getting ready to go to dinner so we got all sorts of pimped out.  Felicia and her smokin purple dress.  Does it get any better?  I borrowed the glasses from my strange brother.  I think they make me look hip and trendy.
The one and only fellis mcguillis.  Isn't she grrrrreat?
Feli and I went scuba diving.  It was one of the most amazing things I've ever done and feli would probably agree.  We saw millions of fish and underwater sand dunes.  We went down about 85 feet.  That's a lot of water above us.  I wish I had an underwater camera, but I think you just have to do it to know how great it is.
And finally here's me on my treasured rip-stick.  If you haven't tried one of these you gots to try it.  It feels like snowboarding/surfing/skateboarding and getting spanked.  It's tricky to learn, but so worth it.  Gary Fifield and I often go for night rides around the neighborhood.

Neil and Felicia Scrooge

I can't believe it's Christmas time!  Neil and I are not being very festive. It's actually starting to make me sad! We don't even have a Christmas tree! We  are so busy this month, we're finding it hard to even find some time to sleep. Thank goodness we're leaving for Cabo San Lucas tomorrow! I think we're both excited for some warm weather, relaxation, fun with the Larson family, and a bit of scuba. As soon as we get back we have our six swedish guest coming to stay with us for 5 weeks or so. We're super excited to spend some time with them and ski our hearts out!
Last night we went on the Polar Express with the Johnson side. Bridger came down with something and was super sick. I felt so bad for him! We still had a ton of fun and it helped get us in the Christmas spirit a little more. Kayley and I had to get up in front of everyone and sing Jingle Bells which was super embarrassing. So here are some pics from that and hopefully we'll come home with some cool adventures to talk about from Mexico.

It is Finished

Don't we look GREAT?

After many long drives to Springville, many late nights in a cold nasty pool and a couple dives in an ancient hole, we finally got our scuba certifications.  Don't get me wrong, we had a blast doing it, but it's nice to be done.  We can't wait to go scuba diving in Cabo in a couple weeks.

Procrastination Post

This is my procrastination in action. I'm supposed to be studying for a math test right now. We had a fun weekend so maybe I'll blog about that.  On Friday I went to The DoDo down town salt lake with some friends (Matthew, JoJo, Alex, Jona, Robin and Jessy). I highly recommend The DoDo, it's good stuff and get dessert while you're there. Saturday we went to Gardner Village with the Gary and Marci (cute picture of Gary and Marci, eh?) and then we went to Garrett and Katie's wedding. Sunday was my baby nephew's third birthday party. Holy Crap! He's getting so old. Well actually Hilary and I think he should be like 5 by now but it's fine by me if he takes his sweet time growing up! :) I love Bridger! He's seriously my one true love! If Bridger and Neil were falling off a cliff at the same time and I had to save one, it would be Bridgey hands down! haha! just kidding, I would use my super woman powers and save both of my loves. I guess I have 2 true loves in this world. I love you Neil and Bridger!
Ok I'll get my homework done!

SCUBA!!!!

On Monday Neil and I started scuba classes to get certified. Since we've known each other we've always talked about it and with an upcoming trip down to Cabo, it seemed like a great time so we took the plunge.  Classes are really fun. They're on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-11 pm. We drive all the way down to Springville to a quaint little dive shop called, SCUBA TED'S.
For Neil it seems to come super natural. I struggle a bit with equalizing, i think I might be a little more sensitive cuz my ears just kill at only 8 feet down and it takes a lot of equalizing and a gradual pace to get comfortable. Other than that it's fun and exciting and hopefully we can go on some awesome dives in the future. I'll keep ya updated on how things go and let you know if my lungs explode or i get decompression sickness.

Father, Forgive Me

That's the name of the new movie I've been helping with.  I've been gone pretty much for the past 4 days straight.  It's a western movie with guns, horses and outlaws.  It was super fun to help make.  Feli and Kayley came out to visit me on set.  It was so nice to see them.  It was crazy shooting so much for 4 days.  I can't imagine doing a real movie where you shoot everyday for 4 or 5 months.  Oh, and we shot in an old saloon with tons of money stapled to the ceiling.  There must have been a couple grand.

Why did I start a BLOG???

You Have Dumb Face

So, leave it to the Larson family to make stupid pictures with stupid faces.  We took these pictures on Sunday and to us it just kept getting funnier and funnier.  We were all sitting in a circle laughing so hard we were almost crying.

I'm not a Witch

Okay, so I was asked to help make a movie about a witch who gets mugged, and then what she does to get revenge.  It's a fun story, we shot it in 3 days and froze to death because we shot in the middle of the night in the mountains.  It was a lot of fun though.

To where it all began!

Our first adventure:     (taken from the journal of Neil... sorry babe!)
March 19, 2007
" I got a text from the one and only Felicia Johnson, the chick I asked out at the bank a couple of weeks ago... We went on our first date, ate at Mimis Cafe, she had salmon and I had the chewbacca sandwich. I already knew i liked her a lot just at the dinner, the way she smiled and laughed... Then we went to Target and I bought a gallon of water but I wouldn't tell her why. She was so curious. We drove way out to Antelope Island and she kept saying, 'you're going to kill me aren't you?' We lit off a bunch of illegal fireworks, then snuck through the gate and took a walk on the causeway. Well, 5  Sheriffs came to see who was doing fireworks. We hid from them for a while, but [eventually] had to come out of hiding. I guess it was a class B misdemenor and a $1000 fine. They let us off luckily. It was fun... we had the best first date of all time."

OH! the good old days when we were young and foolish. Man, that seems like forever ago but when i look at the date it was written I can't believe we've only been together that long. We grew up just blocks away from each other and never met until November of 2006. I'm so glad we did, Neil's completely spiced up my life and I don't think anyone in the world could make me feel the way he does! I promise there isn't a boring day that goes by living with the Neil.  What a guy! ;)
